A song I initially wrote back in the 90s, about a childhood friend I reconnected with many years later in Nashville. We reworked the music last year and again this year. I changed only one line from the original- I stole a beautiful phrase from a close family friend’s obituary.

“Mary I’m sorry
It turned out this way
It’s a hard life for living
I just want to say
I’ll never forget you
I still can recall
Every word every action
I remember it all”
